Bridging Business Development Manager – New Team

Caravel have been exclusively mandated to secure a Bridging Business Development Manager for a well-established Credit Fund that’s expanding into a new area of the market.

The firm is an institutionally backed (includes one of the UKs largest pension funds) that having grown organically over the last 10+ years, are now expanding both products line and into new European jurisdictions. Their newest product range focuses on bridging loans for rental-focused assets – and they’re aiming to lend £200m+ annually under this strategy.

Loan sizes range from £1m–£10m, and the pricing is sharp, backed up with good capital and excellent service.

You’ll be joining a team of experienced originators and will focus on building relationships with a wider broker base across the UK.

What you’ll be doing:

• Originate bridging loans in the £1m–£10m range
• Develop broker relationships and identify new introducers
• Shape deals with credit and operations to fit appetite
• Maintain a strong pipeline and hit origination targets
• Represent the firm at events and in the market
• Share insights to influence product and pricing decisions

What they’re looking for:

• Solid experience in UK bridging or short-term real estate finance
• A well-established broker network (regional or national)
• Confident handling HMO, conversion, and refurb-type assets
• Commercial mindset and ability to structure viable deals
• Strong grasp of underwriting principles
• Willingness to travel for in-person broker meetings

This is a chance to get in early on a new lending strategy with institutional backing behind it – and a firm that knows how to scale.

Other Information

• Salary - £70-80,000, but they will pay for a proven track record.
• Can be home-based with semi-regular office visits to London.
