Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for an Senior Electrical Contracts Manager to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.
We are looking for an Senior Electrical Contracts Manager who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.
The Senior Electrical Contracts Manager, will be responsible for:
* Project Management: Oversee all electrical contract elements, ensuring alignment with programme goals, budgets, and milestones.
* Planning & Coordination: Develop detailed project plans and schedules. Collaborate closely with MEP disciplines, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
* Resource Management: Allocate labour, materials, and equipment effectively to achieve project objectives.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure electrical installations comply with relevant standards and regulations. Conduct inspections and audits to guarantee high-quality work.
* Safety Compliance: Enforce robust health and safety practices, addressing risks proactively.
* Financial Oversight: Monitor and control expenditure, providing accurate financial and progress reports.
* Risk Management: Identify risks and implement effective mitigation and contingency plans.
* Client Relations: Act as the main client contact, delivering progress updates and ensuring satisfaction.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate project records, including permits, contracts, change orders, and reports.
* Team Leadership: Lead and mentor engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors, fostering collaboration and performance excellence.
To be successful for this Senior Electrical Contracts Manager role you must have:
* Experience: Significant experience in electrical engineering and project management, with a track record of delivering large-scale MEP projects (healthcare sector experience desirable).
* Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, BS 7671 wiring regulations, and relevant codes. Proficiency in project management tools/software.
* Leadership: Proven ability to lead diverse teams in high-pressure project environments.
* Communication: Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Problem-Solving: Excellent decision-making ability to manage complex project challenges.
* Attention to Detail: Rigorous focus on compliance, safety, and quality standards.
* 236 Part 1 & 2 Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) – essential for compliance and safety.
* City & Guilds 2391 – Inspection & Testing certification.
* JIB Gold Card (Approved Electrician status).
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) – required for site management.
* PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 – advantageous for structured delivery.
* NEC3/NEC4 Contract Training – desirable for public sector and healthcare projects.
